Job Description

Streets Market is seeking a friendly and dependable Grocery Store Associate / Cashier to support daily store operations in Washington, DC. This position combines customer service, checkout, stocking, and general grocery store duties to provide customers with a convenient and positive shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service
• Operate the register and process purchases accurately
• Handle cash, credit cards, and other payment methods
• Stock and organize products on shelves and displays
• Assist customers with locating merchandise and answering questions
• Check prices and maintain orderly product displays
• Keep checkout and sales areas clean and organized
• Assist with receiving and replenishing merchandise
• Follow store safety and cash-handling procedures
• Support other store operations as needed

Requirements

• Previous grocery, cashier, retail, or customer service experience is helpful
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Basic math and cash-handling ability
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Friendly and customer-focused attitude
• Ability to work in a fast-paced grocery environment
