Grocery Store Associate

Job Overview
We are seeking motivated and friendly Retail Sales Associates to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing excellent customer service, assisting with product merchandising, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail setting. Bilingual skills are a plus to better serve our diverse customer base. Hours

We are looking for part-time store associate who can work on weekdays from 4-9pm. Shift may be 2-5 days per week depending on the schedule.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs
• Provide knowledgeable information about merchandise, including features and benefits
• Operate cash registers and handle transactions accurately and efficiently
• Maintain attractive product displays through effective merchandising techniques
• Keep the sales floor clean, organized, and well-stocked
• Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment
• Perform general cleaning duties to ensure a tidy store environment
• Support maintenance tasks as needed to ensure store safety and functionality
• Use forklifts or other equipment safely when required for stock movement (training provided)
• Address customer inquiries promptly and professionally, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
• Stock shelves and restock products as needed
• Organize merchandise and maintain attractive displays
• Open the store and prepare for business each morning
• Close the store and complete end-of-day duties
• Monitor inventory levels and report low-stock items
• Assist with receiving deliveries and placing products properly
• Work as part of a team to ensure smooth store operations

Experience

• Prior retail sales experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for all aspects of the role
• Customer service experience is highly valued, especially in fast-paced environments
• Bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving a diverse clientele
• Strong communication skills are essential for engaging with customers and team members effectively
• Familiarity with merchandising, cashiering, cleaning, and basic maintenance tasks is beneficial
• Organizational skills are important for managing stock, displays, and daily store operations
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible
• Ability to lift boxes and stand for extended periods
