Responsibilities

• Perform pet grooming services including bathing, brushing, hair trimming, and styling to meet client specifications and breed standards
• Handle animals safely and compassionately during grooming procedures, ensuring proper restraint and comfort
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grooming tools, stations, and facilities to uphold health standards
• Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand grooming preferences and provide professional advice on pet coat care
• Assist with pet handling tasks such as nail trimming, ear cleaning, and coat maintenance while ensuring animal safety
• Support veterinary or veterinary technician staff with animal handling or care tasks as needed
• Manage heavy lifting of pets or supplies when necessary to ensure smooth workflow

Experience

• Prior experience in pet grooming or animal handling is highly preferred
• Background in veterinary technician or veterinary assistant roles demonstrates valuable animal care knowledge
• Experience with dog training, dog handling, or equine care adds valuable skills to the role
• Familiarity with kennel operations, pet sitting, or animal restraint techniques is advantageous
• Strong communication skills for engaging with pet owners and team members effectively
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and comfortably during daily tasks
• Knowledge of pet coat styling, pet nail trimming, and general animal care practices is essential

Pay: $40,000.00 per year
