GROUND MAINTENANCE (BAYANIHAN)

About the role

Polystar General Services Inc. is seeking a dedicated Ground Maintenance (Bayanihan) professional to join our team on a full-time basis. This role is based in BF Homes, Paranaque City, Metro Manila and plays a vital part in maintaining the aesthetic appeal and functionality of our client's premises. You will be responsible for ensuring that all ground areas, landscaping, and outdoor spaces are kept in excellent condition, contributing directly to the professional image and safety standards of the properties we service. This position is integral to our commitment to delivering high-quality maintenance solutions that exceed client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily grounds maintenance tasks including grass cutting, hedge trimming, and general landscaping upkeep
• Maintain and operate grounds maintenance equipment and machinery safely and effectively
• Conduct regular inspections of outdoor areas to identify maintenance needs and potential safety hazards
• Clear and remove debris, fallen leaves, branches, and other waste from grounds and pathways
• Prepare and maintain garden beds, flower arrangements, and decorative landscaping features
• Assist with grounds preparation for special events and seasonal landscaping projects
• Report maintenance issues and coordinate with team members to address problems promptly
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of maintenance storage areas and equipment
• Follow all health and safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment
• Work collaboratively with other team members using the Bayanihan (community spirit) approach to achieve team goals

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or related handyperson services
• Demonstrated proficiency in operating grounds maintenance equipment such as lawnmowers, trimmers, and leaf blowers
• Knowledge of basic horticultural practices and plant care techniques
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation
• Excellent physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour in varying weather conditions
• Reliable, punctual, and strong work ethic with a collaborative team mindset
• Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain awareness of potential hazards
• Valid driver's license or relevant certifications for equipment operation would be advantageous
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and equipment
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with clients and team members
