Wellsand Landscaping & Hardscapes is a growing company serving Northwest Indiana. Our crews perform landscaping, hardscaping, concrete work, asphalt repairs, turf restoration, environmental controls, and traffic control services on commercial, utility, and municipal projects.

We are looking for a dependable and experienced Equipment Mechanic to maintain, diagnose, repair, and service our fleet of trucks, trailers, landscaping equipment, and construction machinery.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance on company vehicles and equipment
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine issues
• Service trucks, trailers, skid steers, mini excavators, loaders, compactors, saws, and landscaping equipment.
• Complete oil changes, tune-ups, brake repairs, tire service, and inspections.
• Maintain maintenance records and repair logs
• Identify equipment needing major repairs or replacement
• Ensure equipment is safe, reliable, and job-ready
• Assist with inventory of parts, tools, fluids, and shop supplies
• Respond to occasional field service calls when necessary
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment
• Oil changes, brake replacement, etc.
• Collaborate with team members to develop maintenance schedules and improve operational procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience as a mechanic working with construction, landscaping, or heavy equipment
• Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and trailers
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues efficiently

Valid driver's license required
