About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced Ground Worker to join a construction team working on a busy site.

The successful candidate will have experience in general groundworks, with particular experience in external finishing and drainage.

Groundworkers with experience of kerbs, edging, block paving and external drainage, including working with black and red drainage pipes, are particularly sought.

Key Responsibilities:

• General groundworks including digging, backfilling and concreting
• External finishing, including slabs, kerbs and edging
• Block paving
• Assisting plant operators and banking 360 excavators and dumpers
• Basic drainage and ducting works as directed by the Foreman
• Keeping work areas safe, tidy and compliant with site rules
• Working as part of a gang to support the delivery of the construction programme
• Following instructions from the Foreman and working safely at all times

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Ground Worker
• Experience of external finishing, particularly kerbs, edging and block paving
• Experience of external drainage, including black and red drainage pipes
• Ability to work effectively as part of a gang
• Good understanding of site health and safety requirements
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Ability to carry out physically demanding work

Experience of banking plant and working around 360 excavators and dumpers is required.

Salary: £23.00 per hour for experienced Ground Workers meeting the external finishing and drainage requirements.

Hours: 10-hour days
