Ground Worker

Duties

• Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as planting, pruning, mowing, and mulching to keep outdoor areas vibrant and healthy
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and small machinery like excavators and irrigation systems safely and efficiently
• Support construction activities by preparing sites, digging trenches, and assisting with material handling
• Conduct groundskeeping duties including lawn care, weed control, and debris removal to uphold safety standards and aesthetic appeal
• Perform routine maintenance on tools, equipment, and machinery to ensure optimal performance
• Follow safety protocols during all activities to prevent accidents and injuries on site
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and meet quality standards

Requirements

• Prior experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, gardening or construction is highly desirable
• Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting basic equipment issues
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and small machinery such as excavators or irrigation systems
• Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions
• Knowledge of horticulture principles and groundskeeping best practices
• Ability to follow safety guidelines diligently and work effectively as part of a team
• Basic understanding of maintenance routines for tools and equipment

Pay: £18.00-£21.00 per hour
