Ground Worker/Labourer

Oil Tank Change are a family run business looking for a highly motivated and hardworking individual to join our Field Base team of Oil Tank Installation Engineers. Oil Tank Change is East Anglia leading supplier of Oil Tanks for both domestic and commercial customers. Based in Kennett, Newmarket our skilled teams install many Oil Tanks and respond to emergencies that arise dealing with leaks and spills etc.

The role:

This is a varied hands-on role involving groundwork associated with domestic and commercial oil tank installations, replacements and related works. The successful candidate will ideally have previous groundwork or construction experience and be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.

• Preparing ground for new oil tank installations
• Excavating and preparing areas for oil tank bases
• Constructing concrete bases and supports
• Digging trenches for oil pipework and associated services
• Removing existing oil tank bases and structures where required
• Carrying out excavation and ground preparation works
• Installing associated pipework
• Moving and handling materials on site
• Using hand tools and small plant machinery
• Assisting with oil tank removal and installation works
• Keeping work areas clean, tidy and safe
• Working alongside our installation
• Following company health and safety procedures
• Carrying out other general groundwork duties as required

Hours of Work are 7.30am – 4.00pm Monday – Friday.

You also have the ability to bump your earnings with on call emergencies that have a very attractive pay rate attached..

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £15.00-£18.00 per hour
