Ground Worker/Labourer

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Ground Worker/Labourer to join our team. This role involves assisting with various construction, landscaping, or maintenance projects, ensuring work sites are safe, organised, and efficiently managed. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, eager to learn, and capable of working outdoors in different weather conditions. Responsibilities

• Assisting with site preparation, including clearing debris and organising materials
• Digging trenches, holes, and foundations as required by project specifications
• Loading and unloading materials and equipment safely and efficiently
• Assisting skilled tradespeople with their tasks as needed
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations
• Operating basic tools and machinery under supervision
• Supporting the mobilisation and demobilisation of site equipment and materials
• Ensuring all work complies with relevant safety standards and procedures

Qualifications

• Previous experience in construction, landscaping, or labouring roles is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
• Good physical fitness with the ability to perform manual labour for extended periods
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Willingness to learn new skills and follow instructions carefully
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Valid UK driving licence is desirable but not mandatory

Pay: £15.85-£17.00 per hour
