Groundworkers & General Labourers – Permanent Positions

Payment: Weekly – one week in arrears

Job Description

Gibbons & Co Construction Ltd is recruiting Groundworkers and General Labourers to support an increasing number of construction projects throughout the West Midlands.

We are looking for dependable individuals who take pride in their work and are interested in long-term employment within a growing construction company.

Immediate-start opportunities are available, with additional vacancies opening as new sites and contracts commence.

We welcome applications from experienced groundworkers and general site labourers holding a valid CSCS card.

Main Responsibilities

• Ground preparation, excavation and general groundwork activities
• Drainage, foundations and concrete works
• Assisting groundworkers and other construction trades
• Loading, unloading and moving materials
• General site labouring and housekeeping
• Supporting daily site operations
• Working safely and following site instructions

Specific responsibilities will be allocated according to your experience and skills.

Candidate Requirements

• Valid CSCS card – mandatory
• Previous experience working on construction sites preferred
• Relevant practical experience for groundworker positions
• Good work ethic and reliable attendance
• Able to undertake physically demanding work
• Willingness to travel between local construction sites
• Ability to work well within a team

What We Offer

• £40,000 per year
• Permanent, full-time positions
