Overview

Join our dynamic grounds maintenance team as a Grounds Crew Member and play a vital role in maintaining pristine, safe, and visually appealing outdoor spaces. In this energetic position, you will be responsible for maintaining the upkeep of residential and commercial lawns, landscapes, by performing a variety of groundskeeping tasks. Your efforts will ensure that our facilities are inviting, functional, and well-maintained for community use and events. Responsibilities

• Operate groundskeeping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, chainsaws, and power tools safely and efficiently to maintain lawns, and landscaped areas.
• Perform routine landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, aerating, and planting to keep outdoor spaces vibrant and healthy.
• Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of materials or equipment, digging trenches, or transporting supplies using company vehicles or carts.
• Conduct regular inspections of grounds to identify issues requiring attention or repair; perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure safety and longevity.
• Support gardening and horticultural activities by planting new greenery, mulching beds, watering plants, and maintaining flower beds for aesthetic appeal.

Requirements

• Prior experience or knowledge in lawn maintenance is preferred but not required.
• Ability to operate ground maintenance equipment including lawn mowers, and power tools with a focus on safety protocols.
• Comfort with manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail combined with the ability to follow instructions accurately for equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
• Valid driver’s license with experience operating company vehicles or groundskeeping machinery is desirable.
• Knowledge of horticulture principles or landscaping techniques will enhance your effectiveness in this role.
