Grounds Maintenance / Landscape Operative

We work with schools, councils, construction, and property managers — delivering high-quality grounds maintenance, soft landscaping, and playground solutions on a contract basis. With 60 years of combined team experience and a modern fleet of equipment, we take pride in reliable, professional service. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a skilled and dependable operative to join our team. The RoleYou'll be out on site each day maintaining and improving outdoor spaces for a variety of commercial clients across our service region. No two days are the same — work ranges from routine grounds maintenance to soft landscaping projects. This is a full-time, permanent position based out of Mansfield, with daily travel to client sites across the East Midlands and South Yorkshire.

What You'll Be Doing

• Grass cutting, strimming, and edging across a range of commercial sites
• Hedge cutting and general grounds upkeep
• Soft landscaping work including planting and turfing
• Operating and maintaining a range of machinery and equipment
• Representing Pro Ground Services professionally on client sites
• Completing work to a consistently high standard with minimal supervision

What We're Looking For:

Essential:

• Full UK driving licence
• Valid CSCS card
• Hands-on experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or a related outdoor trade
• Reliable, punctual, and professional
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions

Desirable (not essential):

• NPTC PA1/PA6 (pesticide application)
• Experience operating ride-on mowers or tractor-mounted equipment
• DBS check (can be arranged on appointment for the right candidate)
