Narconon Arrowhead provides a drug-free substance abuse program in a residential setting providing services to our clients 7 days a week.

Key Responsibilities

Grounds & Landscape Maintenance

• Perform regular lawn care, including mowing, edging, trimming, weeding, and fertilizing grounds and gardens.
• Prune trees and bushes, clear fallen branches, and maintain flower beds, mulched areas, and exterior pathways.
• Keep outdoor areas clean and free of litter, leaves, and debris; manage outdoor waste and recycling receptacles.
• Manage seasonal outdoor needs, such as snow and ice removal (salting walkways/driveways) or irrigation system maintenance.

Handyman & General Repairs

• Perform basic repairs involving carpentry, dry-wall patching, painting, and basic hardware fixes (e.g., doors, locks, cabinet hinges).
• Handle minor plumbing repairs (e.g., clearing clogs, repairing leaky faucets, replacing toilet flappers) and basic electrical maintenance (e.g., changing light fixtures, replacing bulbs, testing outlets).
• Inspect facilities regularly for safety hazards, structural damage, or necessary preventative maintenance.
• Assemble, move, or repair office furniture, shelving units, and outdoor equipment.

Inventory & Vendor Coordination

• Maintain tools, power equipment, and machinery in clean, safe working order; schedule regular service for lawn care equipment.
• Monitor supply levels for maintenance hardware, outdoor chemicals, and repair materials; notify management when restocking is needed.
• Assist third-party contractors (HVAC, major plumbing, roof repairs) by providing facility access and reporting work status to management.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

Qualifications

• Technical Skills: Proficiency with hand/power tools, lawn care machinery (mowers, trimmers, blowers), and basic trade skills (plumbing, carpentry, painting).
• Mission Alignment: Respect for the organization’s mission and a compassionate, professional attitude toward staff, volunteers, and clients.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions (extreme heat, cold, rain, snow).
• Ability to perform physical labor, including standing, bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 50–75 lbs.
• Comfortable operating power equipment and working at heights on ladders or scaffolding when necessary.

Additional Requirements

• Strong problem-solving skills and self-motivation to prioritize daily tasks safely.
• Valid driver’s license
• Background check required prior to employment.

Please note that because Narconon Arrowhead is a drug-free rehab facility, passing a drug test is required at time of hire. That means use of medical marijuana is not allowed.

Pay: From $12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
