Groundsman EXPERIENCED ONLY

Priority Tree, LLC is a Cincinnati based tree service company specializing in tree removal, land clearing, trimming, and pruning. Priority Tree is locally owned, licensed, and fully insured.

A Tree Groundsman supports daily operations by assisting field crews and maintaining clear communication with leadership and customers. This role upholds the company’s commitment to exceeding customer expectations and delivering a superior service experience. Reporting to the foreman, the ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and has a passion for outdoor work, trees, and operating equipment and tools.

As a Tree Groundsman for Priority Tree**,** you must be able to perform the following functions:

Duties and Responsibilities

• Daily/weekly/monthly equipment maintenance
• Sign and cone set up
• Driving equipment to and from the job site
• Chipping debris and cleaning the work area
• Maintain traffic control
• Maintain a safe work environment
• 3-way communication with operator
• Rigging and safe operation of running ropes
• Safe operation and handling of a chainsaw

Position Requirements

• Lift at least 50lbs
• Bend, squat, kneel, twist, climb, pull, and stand for long periods
• Work in all weather conditions i.e., rain, snow, wind, sun, etc.
• Wear all required PPE.
• Maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time
• Must be able to read, write and comprehend instructions and information
• Must have reliable transportation
• A valid drivers license with a clean record is required for this position.
• Position subject to drug test and backround test.

Work Conditions

The Tree Groundsman works primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions and performs physically demanding tasks on active job sites. This role requires the ability to lift heavy materials, operate hand tools and equipment, and work around trees, machinery, and elevated work areas while following strict safety procedures. The position may involve early start times, occasional overtime, and exposure to noise, debris, and uneven terrain. Teamwork, situational awareness, and a strong commitment to safety are essential to successfully performing the duties of this role. All groundsman are required to follow company, OSHA, ANSI, and DOT rules and regulations that pertain to the industry.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
