Groundsman for Private Estate

· We are seeking a proactive and reliable Groundsman to support the maintenance and presentation of an 80-acre private estate.

· This is a hands-on role suited to someone with practical grounds experience who takes pride in maintaining high standards.

· The successful candidate will work as part of a small, professional estate team and must demonstrate flexibility, discretion, and a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities

· General grounds maintenance including mowing, strimming, edging, hedge cutting, pruning, and seasonal upkeep

· Lawn care and structured bed maintenance (minimal formal flower beds)

· Maintenance of fencing, gates, outbuildings, and estate infrastructure

· Operation and basic maintenance of grounds machinery and tools

· Jet washing, terrace care, and seasonal exterior presentation

· Care of chickens and dog walking/feeding

· Ad hoc estate support tasks including minor repairs

· Driving duties

Candidate Profile

· Experience in grounds maintenance or estate work (suitable for junior or developing candidates)

· Practical horticultural knowledge and enthusiasm for land care

· Competent with grounds machinery

· Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors year-round

· Full UK driving licence

· Basic maintenance skills

· Professional, discreet, and team-oriented attitude

Pay: £32,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
