Groundsman (Tree Care)

Job Overview
Redbird Services LLC is seeking a dedicated Groundsman to support our tree care operations. In this role, you will assist climbers and bucket operators, operate and maintain ground equipment, and ensure job sites are safe and organized. This position offers hands-on experience in the tree care industry, with opportunities for professional growth and advancement. Responsibilities

• Assist climbers and bucket operators during tree trimming, pruning, and removal operations
• Operate chainsaws, wood chippers, stump grinders, and other ground-level equipment safely
• Load, transport, and unload tree debris and equipment to maintain efficient workflow
• Stack and organize logs, brush, and other debris for disposal or processing
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites at all times
• Conduct routine inspection, maintenance, and fueling of equipment
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding tasks, hazards, and workflow
• Assist with traffic control or site setup when needed for larger jobs
• Support general landscaping or property cleanup tasks as assigned

Experience

• Previous experience in outdoor labor, landscaping, or tree care is preferred but not required
• Familiarity with chainsaws, wood chippers, and other landscaping equipment is a plus
• Ability to perform physically demanding work in various weather conditions
• Strong understanding of basic safety practices and willingness to follow strict safety protocols
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
