Groundsman/General Laborer

Full Time Groundsmen / General Laborer / Residential Tree Climber

Pine Valley Tree Service is a local, family owned and operated company in Kamloops, Vernon, Salmon Arm, Kelowna and surrounding areas who is looking for someone with experience in the tree service industry, to fill a position for years to come, we are not looking to hire temporary employees.

We are hiring for full time groundsmen/general laborers.

The following would be considered preferred, but not mandatory:

• Airbrakes with a class 5 or class 3 licence, or a class 1 licence.

The following would be preferred:

• Experience driving and operating bucket trucks

• Chainsaw Experience

• Chipper use and care

• First Aid

• This job contains hard physical labor, applicant should be someone between the ages of 20 - 55, strong, in good shape, who lives an active lifestyle as well one that can handle working long fast paced hours. Also be able to work along well with others of crew sizes ranging from 4 to 6 man crews on a daily basis, in the Kamloops and surrounding areas.

• This job requires someone that has no alcohol or substance abuse problems whatsoever

• Applicants must have their own current class 5 driver’s licence along with an up to date driver’s abstract

• We are looking a mature, clean cut, responsible and respectful employee, who will enjoy dealing with, and helping grow our customer base relations.

Laborer: Rate of pay starts at $26.00 per hour based on qualifications and experience as well as references.

We are also accepting resumes for the following:

Individuals that have experience working in high production as a residential tree climber, Certified Utility Arborists and/or certified fallers and sub-contractors. Wages for these positions will be discussed in a phone conversation or in person interviews, and be based on proven experience, references and tickets shown.

All positions will be based out of Kamloops, and will be working in and surrounding town for the most part, however sometimes our crew members are expected to travel to areas in a 2 - 3 hour radius from Kamloops when it is necessary.
