With new sites coming forward across Norfolk and Suffolk and a strong pipeline of residential developments, we’re looking for an experienced Working Groundworks Foreman to lead and work alongside our groundworks team.

Our preference is for someone who can bring an established gang with them, ideally covering plant operation, drainage and general groundworks. We also welcome applications from experienced individuals who can help us build the team.

This is a hands-on role. You’ll organise the day’s work, maintain quality and safety, and work alongside your gang to deliver residential groundworks.

What you’ll be doing

• Leading a groundworks gang and organising daily activities
• Working hands-on across drainage, foundations, services and external works
• Reading drawings, checking levels and planning work sequences
• Coordinating labour, plant and materials with site management
• Overseeing excavation, concrete works, roads, footpaths and oversites
• Checking workmanship and resolving practical site issues
• Maintaining safe working practices and a tidy site
• Reporting progress and flagging requirements or issues early

What you’ll need

• Proven experience as a working groundworks foreman or ganger
• Strong practical knowledge of residential groundworks
• Experience leading a team while remaining hands-on
• Ability to interpret drawings and work accurately to levels
• Good planning, communication and organisational skills
• A strong understanding of site health and safety

An established gang, relevant plant tickets, SSSTS or SMSTS, and a full driving licence would be advantageous.
