Group Accountant

Group Accountant (E-gate, Penang Island)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Group Accountant to oversee the consolidated financial reporting and full spectrum of accounting activities across our group of companies. The ideal candidate should have a background in audit and proven experience managing full sets of accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review group consolidated financial statements, management reports, and analysis.
• Ensure timely month-end closing and reporting across all entities within the group.
• Coordinate audit processes with external auditors and ensure audit compliance.
• Maintain up-to-date accounting records in accordance with MPERS or MFRS.
• Monitor group cash flow, intercompany transactions, and reconciliations.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Liaise with tax agents, auditors, bankers, and other regulatory authorities.

Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Member or finalist of a professional accounting body
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience
• Preferably with 2-3 years of audit firm experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, tax regulations, and consolidation practices.
• High attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
