Permanent | Hybrid/Flexible Working | €80,000-€90,000+ DOE

I'm partnering with a large, internationally diversified Irish organisation to recruit a Group Accounting Manager into its central finance team.

This is a senior technical accounting role with a significant focus on group consolidation, statutory reporting and IFRS, alongside involvement in M&A activity, complex transactions and wider finance projects.

The Role

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will:

• Take a lead role in the monthly, quarterly and annual group consolidation process
• Oversee the preparation of Group financial statements and support statutory reporting requirements
• Act as a key point of contact for technical accounting and IFRS queries
• Advise on the accounting treatment of new and complex transactions
• Work closely with M&A, Tax, Treasury, Legal and wider Finance teams
• Support continuous improvement across financial reporting, including opportunities around AI and automation
• Manage and support an experienced accountant

The role combines approximately 50% group consolidation with broader project and technical accounting work, offering plenty of variety beyond the reporting cycle.

About You

This could suit an Audit/Accounting Advisory Manager looking to move into industry, or someone already working within Group Finance or Financial Reporting in a large multinational environment.

Ideally, you will have:

• ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent qualification
• Strong group consolidation experience, which is essential
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, particularly IFRS
• Experience within a Big Four/top-tier practice or large multinational
• Exposure to multi-entity/group financial reporting
• Experience managing statutory audits and external auditors
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Exposure to business combinations, M&A or acquisition accounting would be advantageous
• An interest in using AI, automation and process improvement within Finance
