Group Accounting Manager - Freight Forwarder

Role Overview

• Job Title: Group Accounting Manager (Freight Forwarding)
• Location: Kwun Tong office
• Core Purpose: Lead the finance team to manage daily accounting, regional tax compliance, and multi-currency cash flows for logistics operations across Hong Kong, Mainland China, and Southeast Asia (Vietnam, Malaysia, and Thailand).

Key Responsibilities

• Regional Finance Management: Oversee AP, AR, and general ledger (GL) across multiple regional entities and cross-border logistics networks.
• Consolidated Reporting: Prepare group financial statements, manage complex multi-currency cash flows (including VND, MYR, THB, and RMB), and coordinate regional audits.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor local accounting staff while effectively coordinating with finance teams in China and Southeast Asia.
• Multi-Country Compliance: Ensure all operations strictly follow HKFRSs, China accounting rules (PRC GAAP), and local tax laws in Vietnam, Malaysia, and Thailand.

Candidate Requirements

• Qualifications: Professional accounting license (ACCA, HKICPA, or equivalent).
• Experience: 5–7 years in accounting, with solid experience handling regional logistics, shipping, or supply chain finances.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of HK tax, PRC GAAP, and international tax frameworks—specifically Withholding Tax (WHT), Transfer Pricing, and VAT/GST rules in Vietnam, Malaysia, and Thailand.
• Skills & Communication: Advanced Excel proficiency and strong cross-cultural communication skills to bridge local operations with overseas teams.
