Group Benefits Agent

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Group Benefits Agent to join our team and drive the growth of our benefits offerings. In this role, you will leverage your sales expertise and insurance knowledge to connect with clients, understand their needs, and provide tailored benefits solutions. Your energetic approach and exceptional communication skills will help build lasting relationships with clients, ensuring they receive the best coverage options for health insurance. Duties

• Engage in outside sales activities to identify new client opportunities and expand our benefits portfolio
• Conduct client consultations to assess their insurance needs across health, life, property, and casualty coverage
• Negotiate policy terms and premiums to reach mutually beneficial agreements with clients
• Build strong customer relationships through personalized service, ongoing support, and regular follow-up
• Manage sales administration tasks including CRM system updates, policy documentation, and client records
• Analyze client data to recommend optimal benefits solutions aligned with their goals and budgets
• Stay informed on insurance regulations such as HIPAA compliance and industry standards to ensure accurate advice and service delivery

Qualifications

• Proven experience within the group benefits industry or willingness to learn.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively
• Knowledge of health insurance.
• Familiarity with CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales tracking tools, Zywave, Employee Navigator, and Excel.
• Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable for serving diverse client populations
• Excellent analysis skills to evaluate client needs and develop tailored benefits packages
• Understanding of insurance regulation standards such as HIPAA compliance and benefits administration processes
• Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on building long-term client relationships
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail in documentation and compliance
• Self motivataed to prospect daily, calling prospective clients, keeping record of prospecting.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $300,000.00 per year
