Group Controller

About the role

A well-established, multi-franchise luxury/import dealer group on Long Island is looking for a proven Group Controller. You'll report directly to the COO, lead an accounting team of 4+, and own the books for every store in the group.

What you'll own

Monthly close and on-time OEM and group financial statements for all stores

The deal and billing office: posting, funding, contracts in transit, payoffs, cancellations, F&I reserves and chargebacks

Clean schedules (CIT, receivables, floorplan, WIP) and daily cash and floorplan reconciliation

Internal controls, OEM, floorplan and CPA audits, payroll and commission accuracy, and tax compliance

Building and leading a strong, accountable accounting team

What you bring

A Controller title at a franchised dealership or dealer group

Hands-on Tekion DMS experience (you've closed the books on Tekion). Experience with a second DMS is a plus

A background in automotive billing and the deal office

Steady, multi-year tenure in your roles

A clean background check and solid professional references
