Description:

GENERAL FUNCTION

Under the direction of the Director of Healthy Living, the Group Exercise Instructor will be responsible for planning and directing group exercise classes with an emphasis on safe and effective routines as well as building community.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and prepare class routines that meet all the necessary components and safe guidelines in accordance with current accepted practices of exercise physiology.
• Allow for pre/post class member engagement to build member relations.
• Start and end class on time.
• Maintain equipment and keep group exercise area clean.
• Awareness of all branch emergency procedures.
• Participate in continuing education training specific to individual goals and branch objectives.

Requirements:

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must possess current fitness certification
• Must complete required on-line trainings (Bloodborne Pathogens & Child Abuse Prevention)
• Must obtain CPR/First Aid certifications (offered in-house)
• Must complete successful criminal background check and drug screen
