Duties

• Lead energetic and well-structured group exercise step classes tailored to various fitness levels
• Demonstrate proper exercise routines, ensuring correct form and technique to maximize safety and effectiveness
• Motivate participants through positive coaching, encouraging consistent effort and engagement throughout each session
• Design varied program routines that incorporate elements of cardio, strength, flexibility, and balance using step platforms
• Monitor participant safety by providing guidance on body mechanics, biomechanics, and manual handling techniques
• Maintain a welcoming environment by delivering excellent fitness customer service and clear client communication
• Stay current with industry trends by continuously enhancing your knowledge of anatomy, physiology, yoga, Pilates, CrossFit, cycling, dancing, sports coaching, and other relevant disciplines

Requirements

• Proven experience in group fitness instruction or personal training within a health club or gym setting
• Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation is essential for safety compliance
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, body mechanics, and physical fitness training principles
• Demonstrated ability to teach exercise routines confidently across diverse groups with varying abilities
• Familiarity with fitness industry standards including group fitness class management and coaching techniques
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for equipment setup or class preparation
• Excellent client communication skills with a focus on motivating participants and providing exceptional customer service
• Additional certifications such as Yoga instruction, Pilates instruction, Kickboxing, or Sports coaching are highly desirable to enhance class offerings
