The position combines sales administration, guest service, and developing sales responsibilities, supporting group bookings and delivering an exceptional client experience.

The ideal candidate brings a strong background in hotel front desk operations, guest services, or sales coordination, along with excellent organizational and communication skills. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, comfortable working in a fast-paced hospitality environment, and motivated to grow into a more sales-focused role with opportunities for professional advancement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support the hotel group sales function through administrative coordination, client communication, and sales-related activities.
  • Assist with group booking inquiries, coordinating information and providing timely follow-up to prospective and existing clients.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to group clients, meeting planners, and internal hospitality partners.
  • Support the preparation of sales proposals, presentations, contracts, and other group booking documentation.
  • Maintain accurate client information, sales records, and booking details within applicable hotel systems.
  • Coordinate with hotel sales, front office, and operations teams to support a seamless group guest experience.
  • Assist with scheduling client meetings, property tours, and other sales-related activities.
  • Develop relationships with prospective and existing clients while supporting group account management.
  • Participate in sales outreach, follow-up activities, and business development initiatives as experience grows.
  • Assist with tracking sales activity, group booking opportunities, and administrative reporting.
  • Help identify opportunities to enhance guest satisfaction, strengthen client relationships, and generate additional business.
  • Support the coordination of group arrivals, special requests, and guest experience details as needed.
  • Collaborate with hotel leadership and internal departments to ensure effective communication and service delivery.
  • Gradually take on additional sales responsibilities, including client engagement and direct selling opportunities.
  • Maintain a professional, polished, and service-oriented approach when representing the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Ideally 2+ years of hotel front desk, front office, or guest services experience, preferably within an upscale or full-service hospitality environment.
  • Alternatively, 1+ year of experience as a Hotel Sales Coordinator, Group Sales Coordinator, or similar hospitality sales support position preferred.
  • Strong customer service background with the ability to deliver a high level of professionalism and hospitality.
  • Familiarity with hotel operations, guest services, and general booking processes.
  • Strong administrative, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with clients, guests, and internal team members.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records and coordinate multiple priorities.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-facing hospitality environment.
  • Proficiency with standard office applications and ability to learn hotel sales and booking systems.
  • Interest in developing sales and business development skills is essential.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and eager to learn and take on additional responsibilities.
  • Strong interest in building a long-term career within hotel sales.
  • Ability to work fully onsite in San Diego.
