Group Facilitator

Position Summary:

The Group Facilitator is responsible for leading and facilitating group sessions designed to promote emotional growth, recovery, and personal development among clients. The facilitator creates a safe, supportive, and engaging environment that encourages open discussion, learning, and peer support. This position plays a key role in helping participants develop coping skills, insight, and strategies to improve their overall well-being at our 2 locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate group sessions on topics such as substance abuse recovery, mental health, life skills, relapse prevention, anger management, and communication skills.
• Develop and implement group curriculum and lesson plans tailored to client needs and program goals.
• Encourage participation and ensure all group members feel heard and respected.
• Monitor group dynamics and manage conflicts or disruptive behaviors professionally.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential group notes in KIPU EMR and attendance records.
• Collaborate with case managers, therapists, and program staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Assess client progress and provide feedback to the treatment team as needed.
• Uphold program policies, confidentiality standards, and ethical guidelines.
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and supervision sessions.
• Facilitate groups at multiple locations.

Qualifications: CAC, Registered Intern, Masters in Social Work, CAP

Education:

• Master's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Counseling, or related field required.
• Registered Internship, LMHC, LCSW Preferred

Experience:

• Minimum of 1–2 years’ experience facilitating groups in a behavioral health, recovery, or social service setting.
• Experience working with individuals with mental health and/or substance use disorders preferred.

• Knowledge of recovery principles, trauma-informed care, and motivational interviewing techniques.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
