Group Financial Controller

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations of the organisation, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with regulations. This position requires strong expertise in financial management and proficiency in various accounting software.

Responsibilities

All aspects of Financial Control and Administration for jointly owned Companies and ventures of the two Directors’ across a variety of business sectors including construction, agriculture, hospitality and leisure and property rentals.

• Provide support and challenge to the Directors
• Manage accounts team
• Assist book-keeper at remote businesses to produce management information
• Liaison and working with key external parties, including bankers and accountants
• Payment authorisations online
• Management accounts - report results to directors monthly / quarterly as appropriate
• Consolidation of 2 Groups of Companies
• Statutory accounts
• Cash forecasting
• VAT returns
• Inter-company reconciliations
• Directors Loan Accounts (“DLAs”)
• P11Ds

What We’re Looking For:

• Skills: Competence in using Sage Line 50, Sage Payroll, and Microsoft Excel.
• Qualification: A recognised accountancy qualification (preferred).
• Strong organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and managing deadlines
