Group Financial Controller

Key responsibilities

• Lead and take full responsibility for Group Consolidated financial reporting, statutory reporting, audit, and Bursa announcement
• Provide technical expertise in group consolidation accounting to deliver sound accounting and financial reports with supporting working papers and documentation
• Prepare timely budgets, analysis, forecasts, projections, and financial performance reports
• Ensure sound and timely accounting and financial reporting systems throughout the group, including overseeing the account closing cycle and financial reporting
• Conduct deep dive analysis on financial data of the overall group and business units/subsidiaries to develop insights into business financial performance
• Lead group treasury, banking matters, cash flow management, projection, reporting, and compliance monitoring
• Take responsibility for Group taxation matters
• Prepare and simulate proforma group financial impact and reports for corporate finance transactions
• Develop and implement automation of accounting processes and reports to enhance finance operation and reporting efficiency
• Communicate, lead and drive Group and subsidiaries Finance to achieve finance department targets and reporting timelines

About you

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or professional qualification or equivalent
• Minimum 12 years of relevant working experience in a similar capacity
• Working experience in Big 4 audit firm and commercial experience in sizable public listed company is highly preferable
• Strong and hands-on PLC group consolidation accounting technical knowledge is a MUST
• Meticulous attention to detail with a strong sense of responsibility, integrity, independence, proactiveness, and result-oriented mindset
• Strong problem-solving skills and leadership skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgment and propose effective solutions
• Excellent skills in report presentation, interpersonal communication and data analysis
• Proficiency in Mandarin is required
• Demonstrate high-level commitment, able to work in a fast-paced environment with sense of urgency
