EA-RS is a private equity-backed fire, security and electrical services group with around 500 people and turnover of about £96m. Since 2021 it has made 11 acquisitions. It is now bringing those businesses together under one brand and one finance platform, so this is a real chance to shape how group finance works.

The role

The CFO is splitting finance into two teams: core finance (control, compliance and reporting) and commercial finance (FP&A and business partnering). The Group Financial Controller is a new role that leads the core team and works as the CFO's main operational partner.

What you'll do

• Own month-end, group reporting and consolidation

• Deliver the statutory accounts and lead the audit

• Manage treasury and cash

• Lead the AP, AR and payroll teams within a central finance function of around 24 people

• Play a key part in moving the group onto Sage Intacct and simplifying the legal entity structure

• Strengthen controls, remove bottlenecks and set clear ownership across the team

What you'll bring

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)

• Strong group consolidation, statutory accounts and audit experience

• A hands-on leader who builds and develops teams and still gets into the detail

• Experience in a fast-paced, private equity or investor-backed business

• Finance systems change or integration experience (Sage Intacct a bonus)
