Group Financial Controller (HK Listed | Growing)

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Reporting

• Lead the Group's monthly, quarterly, interim, and annual financial reporting processes.
• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements in accordance with HKFRS and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Ensure timely submission of financial disclosures and announcements to HKEX and relevant regulatory bodies.
• Oversee the month-end and year-end closing process across multiple business entities.

HKEX Compliance & Corporate Governance

• Ensure compliance with HKEX Listing Rules, Companies Ordinance requirements.
• Coordinate preparation and review of annual reports, interim reports, ESG-related financial disclosures, and circulars.
• Liaise with company secretary, legal counsel, external auditors, and regulators on statutory and compliance matters.
• Support Board and Audit Committee reporting requirements.

Internal Controls & Risk Management

• Develop and enhance internal control frameworks and financial governance processes.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies, accounting standards, and risk management procedures.
• Identify financial and operational risks and implement corrective actions.
• Lead internal control reviews and support internal audit activities.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Business Partnering

• Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting exercises.
• Provide financial analysis and strategic insights to senior management.
• Monitor business performance and key financial indicators.
• Partner with business units to support growth initiatives, investment decisions, and operational improvements.

Taxation

• Manage corporate tax compliance and planning activities.
• Coordinate with external tax advisors on tax structuring and regulatory changes.
• Ensure timely filing of tax returns and compliance across relevant jurisdictions.

Audit Management

• Act as the key finance lead for external and internal audits.
• Manage relationships with external auditors and ensure efficient audit execution.
• Address audit findings and implement recommendations.

Corporate Finance & Special Projects

• Support mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, restructuring, and investment evaluation projects.
• Participate in strategic initiatives, business transformation, and process improvement programs.
• Assist the CFO with Board presentations and investor communications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Qualified CPA, HKICPA, ACCA, ICAEW, or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
• 12-15+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience.
• Proven experience as Financial Controller, Finance Director, or senior finance leadership position within a Hong Kong-listed company.
• Strong knowledge of HKEX Listing Rules, HKFRS, corporate governance, and statutory reporting requirements.
• Big 4 audit training/background highly preferred.
