Role & responsibilities

We are seeking an accomplished Technical & Engineering Leader to provide technology and

organizational leadership for Power Electronics, Electrical Drives, Motor Control, Actuation

and Control Systems for advanced land defence platforms.

Strong system-level understanding across electrical, electronics, mechanical, embedded

software, sensing, actuation and control interfaces is essential.

Domain Experience

Experience in defence, aerospace, automotive, heavy mobility, industrial drives or other

high-reliability industries is preferred. Direct experience with armoured/artillery/air-

defence platforms, gun-turret systems, gun control and stabilization, weapon actuation,

electro-mechanical actuation or mission-critical control systems will be strongly preferred.

Knowledge of military environmental qualification, EMI/EMC, shock & vibration,

reliability, safety and defence product qualification processes is desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical vision and strategic direction for power electronics, electrical

drives, motion control, actuation and electrical power management systems.

• Act as the senior technical authority for Power Electronics, Drives & Control

Systems; define architectures, technology roadmaps, engineering standards and

reusable platforms.

• Lead system/subsystem architecture and design reviews covering requirements,

functional decomposition, interfaces, technology selection, trade-offs, verification

and validation.

• Architect and develop DC/DC converters, DC/AC inverters, motor drives, power

distribution/management, battery charging and auxiliary power systems.

• Provide technical leadership in selection and application of IGBT, SiC MOSFET and

advanced power semiconductor technologies, including switching, magnetics,

thermal management, protection and packaging.

• Lead advanced motor-drive solutions for gun-turret actuation, gun control &

stabilization, weapon-system actuation, steering/mobility and other mission-

critical actuators, covering PMSM, BLDC, induction and servo motors.

• Drive development of real-time embedded control systems and advanced control

algorithms including current/torque/speed control, field-oriented control,

sensorless control, position/motion control, servo control, power management

and fault diagnostics.

• Promote MATLAB/Simulink, model-based engineering, PLECS/PSIM, SIL/HIL, rapid

control prototyping and system-level simulation/verification.

• Ensure robust hardware/software/mechanical/control integration and optimize

power density, efficiency, dynamic response, thermal performance, reliability and

maintainability.

• Lead technical activities related to environmental qualification, EMI/EMC,

shock/vibration, electrical safety, reliability, system integration and field

acceptance.

• Resolve complex technical issues, integration challenges and field failures through

structured root-cause analysis and corrective action.

• Work closely with systems engineering, mechanical, electronics, embedded

software, vehicle integration, weapons and platform teams.

• Build and lead a high-performing multidisciplinary organization spanning power

electronics, drives, controls, electrical engineering and embedded systems; mentor

technical leaders and develop succession capability.
