Group Home Support Worker

Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Group Home Support Workers to provide high-quality care and assistance to children in a supportive living enviroment evenings and weeknights mostly .

The Support Worker will play a vital role in ensuring children's ' safety, well-being, and comfort through personalized care and daily support activities.

Duties

• Assist with daily living activities
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning
• Provide companionship and emotional support to, fostering a positive environment
• Support children to participate in recreational activities and social engagement programs
• Maintain a clean and safe living space by performing housekeeping and cleaning duties.
• Participate in cultural activities in the community.

Qualifications

• 2 years previous experience in childcare and or social work preferred.
• Diploma or degree in human service or social work field is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of Indigenous culture .
• Compassionate attitude with excellent caregiving skills and patience
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, families, and team members
• Ability to perform light cleaning tasks and meal preparation as needed
• Reliable transportation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32.0 – 40.0 per week
