What they need

This role is a full time, office-based position.

As Group Senior IT Technician, you'll play a key role in supporting the technology that keeps our business running effectively across the LabLogic Group. Working as part of a close-knit IT team, you'll provide technical support to colleagues both on-site and remotely, helping to ensure users remain productive, secure and connected.

This is a hands-on technical position where you'll take ownership of support requests through to resolution, manage endpoint devices, and proactively contribute to system improvements and cyber security initiatives. As the Group continues to grow, this role provides vital capacity within the IT function, allowing the wider team to focus on strategic projects while ensuring business-as-usual support is delivered to a high standard. It's an excellent opportunity for an experienced IT professional who enjoys problem-solving, taking ownership, and making a tangible impact across a diverse organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 2nd line technical support to users across the Group, both remotely and on-site.
  • Manage support tickets from initial diagnosis through to resolution and close-out.
  • Act as an escalation point for the IT Support Apprentice and support the wider IT team with complex issues.
  • Maintain and support Windows desktop environments and Microsoft 365 systems.
  • Manage the lifecycle of endpoint devices, ensuring systems remain secure, compliant and up to date.
  • Identify, investigate and remediate security vulnerabilities (CVEs) across the estate.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of internal IT processes, systems and user experiences.
  • Support cyber security initiatives and promote best practice across the business

The above list is not exhaustive and, as such, you may be required to undertake other duties as appropriate.

Requirements

Essential

  • At least 3 years’ experience in an IT support role, including Windows desktop and Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across desktop, software and user support environments.
  • Experience managing support tickets and seeing issues through to successful resolution.
  • Good understanding of cyber security principles and vulnerability remediation.
  • Working knowledge of networking, including TCP/IP.
  • A proactive approach with a genuine interest in technology and continuous learning.

Desirable

  • Experience of CVE management and structured vulnerability remediation programmes.
  • Exposure to Linux operating systems and Linux-based environments.
  • Experience working within a growing multi-site business environment.
