Monday – Thursday 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Friday 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Non-School Weekdays 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

* Additional weekday and weekend hours per the Boys & Girls Club of Massillon Scheduled Annual Events Listing are mandatory even when they occur during non-scheduled regular work hours.

Position Summary

Group Leaders contribute to the smooth implementation of programming by working alongside the Lead Program Staff to deliver effective trauma-informed support to Club members. This includes de-escalating concerning behavior, promoting positive peer relationships, and modeling prosocial behaviors.

Position Responsibilities

· Build authentic, consistent relationships with youth grounded in trust, respect, and high expectations.

· Recognize and respond to behavioral, emotional, and developmental needs; escalate concerns to the Director of Trauma-Informed Care/Program Director/Director of Operations as appropriate.

· Model positive behavior, conflict resolution, and inclusive communication in all interactions.

· Follow the daily program schedule for assigned group and support smooth implementation of programming through the effective delivery of prevention and intervention strategies.

· Collect accurate data on the types of behaviors being addressed and the need for any additional assistance; submit required documentation on schedule

Prerequisites

· Pursuing or completed Bachelor’s degree from accredited University in social work, education, or psychology preferred.

· Must pass all phases of an annual criminal background check.

· Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license with current insurance.

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
