Group Management Accountant

We are now seeking a Group Management Accountant to join our Group Finance team in Brackley.

Working within our Group Finance shared-service function, you will take ownership of management accounts across allocated Group entities, support consolidation and intercompany reporting, and provide meaningful analysis to help the business understand and improve financial performance.

This is a great opportunity for a part-qualified, finalist or newly qualified CIMA/ACCA accountant looking to broaden their Group Finance experience within a growing, acquisitive business.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts for allocated Group entities.
• Post and review journals, accruals, prepayments and provisions.
• Own balance-sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items.
• Support Group consolidation and intercompany reconciliation.
• Produce meaningful variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior periods.
• Provide clear commentary on the key drivers of financial performance.
• Support stock, landed-cost and margin accounting and investigate variances.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and external audit requirements.
• Maintain accurate, well-supported and audit-ready working papers.
• Support the standardisation and improvement of Group Finance processes and reporting.
• Contribute to improvements within NetSuite and connected finance systems.

Key Skills and Experience

Essential

• Solid experience in management accounts and month-end reporting.
• Strong balance-sheet reconciliation experience.
• Good understanding of journals, accruals, prepayments and provisions.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial information.
• Experience producing clear and meaningful variance commentary.
• Good Excel, systems and data-handling skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Confidence communicating financial information to finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• The ability to work effectively to month-end and reporting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified or finalist CIMA / ACCA; or
• Newly qualified CIMA / ACCA or equivalent.

Desirable

• Multi-entity or Group Finance experience.
• Exposure to consolidation and intercompany accounting.
• Experience within a distribution, service or stock-based environment.
• Working knowledge of NetSuite.
• Exposure to budgeting, forecasting and external audit.
• Experience within a growing, acquisitive or private equity-backed business.
