Group Operations & Implementation Manager Salary £50,000–£60,000

LEC Group is hiring a hands-on operations manager to build and run the operating structure across its four businesses, robotics, AI, beverages and events - reporting to the COO and working closely with the CEO.

The Role

When management gives an instruction, you turn it into a plan: actions recorded, owners named, deadlines set, people coordinated, work finished. You will build the operating structure across LEC Robotics, LEC AI, LEC Beverages and the events business, with the heaviest focus on robotics and AI.

This is a building job, not a delegating one. You will write the SOPs, set up the systems, coordinate a team of about four, and stay close enough to the detail to fix things yourself. A core objective is a lean organisation: better processes and more automation rather than more headcount.

What you'll do

Build the operating structure. Write and implement SOPs, SLAs, escalation routes and reporting across the four businesses. Give every project and task an owner, a deadline and a measurable outcome. Set up daily, weekly and monthly operating routines.

Run the group on its own AI systems. We are building an internal platform — Donnie Notes for capturing meetings and instructions, plus a central interface for tasks, projects and reporting. You will make sure meetings get captured, instructions become assigned tasks, and staff use the system rather than personal notebooks and side spreadsheets. You will also work with LEC AI engineers to automate the repetitive admin and build management dashboards.

Support LEC Robotics commercially. Connect marketing enquiries through to lead management, quotes, demonstrations, orders, delivery and after-sales. Keep HubSpot properly structured and used. Coordinate the Fulham showroom: demonstrations, inventory, equipment, logistics, installations, maintenance, rentals and service contracts. The Head of Sales keeps sales strategy, team performance and revenue.

Coordinate LEC AI delivery. Organise project schedules and development priorities, document business requirements for engineers, and move AI products from development into customer deployment and onboarding. You will not build models or write software.

Keep beverages, events and the team running. Coordinate orders, inventory and distribution for LEC Beverages. Put event planning on clear timelines, budgets and responsibilities. Set responsibilities, onboarding, training and progress reviews for the operations team, and coordinate cross-functional projects across sales, marketing, engineering, finance and operations.

What we're looking for

Essential:

• Operations experience in a commercial, technology-led business
• You have personally designed and implemented SOPs, SLAs and operational processes, not just managed people who did
• Coordinated work across commercial, technical and operational departments
• Strong grasp of CRM, workflow and project-tracking systems, and comfortable with automation tools
• Experience organising an operations team and setting accountability and reporting
• A track record of taking improvements from plan to adoption
• Fast, exceptionally organised, and hands-on

Nice to have:

• HubSpot or a comparable CRM
• Technology, automation, AI, B2B services or technology distribution
• Businesses combining physical operations with software or technical services
• Coordinating engineers or technical implementation projects
• Showrooms, customer demonstrations, product launches or commercial events
• Working across several divisions, or directly with founders and senior leadership
• Robotics or AI experience is useful but not required.

First 90 Days

1–30- Review how the four businesses currently run, find the gaps, set up central tracking of tasks and projects, fix the urgent issues, and agree an implementation plan with management

31–60- Roll out SOPs on the priority functions, standardise the CRM and commercial workflows, set service standards and escalation routes, and start the system improvements with LEC AI

61–90- Check the processes are actually being followed, stand up management dashboards and reporting, automate what still eats time, and set the operational roadmap for growth

By six months we would expect documented SOPs in consistent use, clear SLAs, reliable processes from enquiry to delivery, management visibility across all four businesses, and less administrative load than we carry today.
