Group Pricing Manager

Description

An international industrial group with operations in Greece and several international markets is seeking a Group Pricing Manager to take responsibility for the development of its pricing function at Group level.

The position is designed for an experienced professional who combines strong financial and analytical understanding with commercial awareness and leadership capabilities. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of a more structured approach to pricing, supporting business units in making informed commercial decisions and improving overall profitability. The role offers significant responsibility in an international B2B environment and includes the development of a new Pricing function and team.

The Role

The suitable candidate will be responsible for:

• Take ownership of the Group’s pricing activities and establish a consistent approach across different business units
• Assess product costs, profitability, market developments and commercial conditions in order to support pricing and margin decisions
• Develop analytical models and business guidelines that enable management and commercial teams to evaluate pricing opportunities effectively
• Provide management with regular analysis and meaningful information regarding pricing performance and profitability
• Work with Sales, Finance, Operations and other key functions to ensure that pricing considerations are incorporated into commercial and operational decisions
• Coordinate major initiatives related to the introduction and development of new pricing practices across the organization
• Review existing processes and identify opportunities for greater efficiency, consistency and use of technology
• Support the introduction and effective use of systems and tools that facilitate pricing analysis and decision-making
• Strengthen pricing knowledge within the commercial organization through appropriate guidance, workshops and internal development initiatives
• Define the structure and responsibilities of the new Pricing function and participate in the selection and development of its team members
• Establish clear operating principles and performance standards for the Pricing function
• Serve as a senior advisor on pricing matters, working with management and key stakeholders across the organization

Requirements

• University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Engineering or another relevant discipline
• Master’s degree in a relevant field
• Minimum 12 years of professional experience in pricing, cost analysis, commercial excellence, revenue management or a related area
• Strong understanding of cost structures, pricing models, margins and commercial profitability
• Experience gained in a structured B2B organization, preferably within manufacturing, industrial production or another technically complex environment
• Demonstrated experience in leading business improvement or transformation projects involving multiple functions
• Previous responsibility for managing and developing people, with experience in establishing or growing a team considered an advantage
• Strong numerical and analytical capabilities, combined with commercial understanding and sound business judgment
• Experience with ERP, pricing, reporting or business analytics tools
• Excellent command of English
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders and different business functions
• Well-developed organizational skills and the ability to manage several priorities in a complex international environment
