Group Senior Information Technology Manager

Location: Shenzhen (SZ) (Open to China-based talent or HK residents commuting daily via Go-GBA)

Role Summary

We are seeking a grounded, high-impact technology leader to join our organization as Deputy Head of IT. Working alongside a traditional IT Director who values technical depth, operational reliability, and hands-on execution, you will serve as the core technical anchor for our cross-border operations. In this role, you will lead a 10+ person multidisciplinary team across Shenzhen and Hong Kong spanning software engineering, enterprise applications, infrastructure, and IT operations.

You will bridge strong, down-to-earth engineering discipline with practical innovations—introducing smart workflow automations to elevate efficiency while maintaining absolute operational stability.

Key Responsibilities

• Overall IT Management: as deputy IT head to oversee IT applications, infrastructure, operations and cybersecurity.
• Cross-Border Team Management: Lead, mentor, and build a stable 10+ person technical team across SZ and HK, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and technical rigor.
• Director Partnership: Partner closely with the IT Director to execute daily technology operations, ensuring strict operational stability, security, and governance across all regional sites. Active craft IT strategy, roadmap and planning across resources and budget for short to long term.
• Hands-On Technical Leadership: Work directly in the trenches with your engineering team, conducting code reviews, troubleshooting complex architecture, and providing direct technical guidance to developers and sysadmins.
• Practical Process Automation: Identify operational bottlenecks across production and supply chain workflows, designing realistic, down-to-earth digital automations that deliver tangible ROI.
• Enterprise ERP & Core Systems Management: Oversee the implementation, configuration, and daily functional support of core ERP modules (including Sales & Distribution, Finance & Controlling, and Production/Manufacturing) to streamline operations.

Requirements & Preferred Background

• Education: Bachelor in Computer Science, Information Systems or relevant disciplines
• Experience and IT Management Track Record: 15+ years experience in MIS. 5+ years as IT Manager/ Deputy Head or above position that oversee across applications, infrastructure and operations. Experiencc in crafting IT strategy, roadmap, resources and budget planning.
• Engineering Foundation: Strong, hands-on background in software development/programming with the technical depth to lead by example and solve complex system challenges alongside your team.
• Digital Transformation: Innovative in driving workflow automation and practical digitalization initiatives with hands on development/ active exploring of tools.
• Proven Career Stability: Solid, steady career history within the manufacturing or consumer goods (best in electronics) sector, demonstrating long-term organizational commitment and reliability.
• ERP Module Mastery: Deep, practical implementation and support expertise across core ERP functional modules (SD, FICO, Production, Logistics). Experience with platforms such as Epicor, SAP, Oracle, Dynamics 365, or Infor is highly valued.
• Work Style & Personality: Down-to-earth, proactive, and resilient—someone who balances a respect for traditional IT governance with a pragmatic drive to automate and modernize.
• Location & Mobility: Stationed in Shenzhen for daily operations. Open to Mainland-based candidates or Hong Kong residents utilizing Go-GBA daily cross-border commuting. Fluent in English; Mandarin skills are a strong asset.
