What they need

Position Overview

StretchLab is seeking a motivated, professional, and client-focused Group Stretch Instructor to lead small-group stretch, mobility, activation, and recovery classes.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in group fitness, yoga, Pilates, mobility, personal training, athletic training, assisted stretching, or movement coaching. The Group Stretch Instructor will deliver a premium class experience that helps clients improve flexibility, mobility, posture, recovery, body awareness, and confidence in movement.

Group classes are a new offering for our studio, so this role requires an experienced group fitness instructor who knows how to build excitement, generate participation, and create momentum around a new program. The right candidate will not only lead a strong class, but also help establish group training as an engaging and valuable part of the StretchLab experience.

The right candidate can confidently lead a room, provide clear instruction, offer modifications, and create a welcoming environment for clients of varying ages, fitness levels, and mobility needs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead structured group stretch, activation, mobility, and recovery classes
  • Deliver safe, clear, and engaging instruction for beginner and intermediate-level clients
  • Demonstrate movements and provide verbal cueing throughout each class
  • Offer appropriate modifications based on client age, ability, comfort level, and mobility limitations
  • Create a positive, professional, and encouraging class environment
  • Support clients in improving flexibility, mobility, recovery, posture, and movement quality
  • Help generate enthusiasm, participation, and repeat attendance for a new group class program
  • Contribute ideas to promote classes, build member engagement, and create excitement around the schedule
  • Deliver an experience that encourages clients to return and bring guests
  • Track class attendance accurately
  • Communicate client feedback, concerns, or opportunities to studio leadership
  • Help members feel welcomed, supported, and connected to the StretchLab experience
  • Participate in required training, class preparation, and team communication
  • Support workshops, community events, and special group sessions as needed
  • Represent StretchLab professionally inside and outside the studio

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience leading group fitness, yoga, Pilates, stretch, mobility, recovery, or movement-based classes required
  • Strong understanding of safe movement, flexibility, mobility, and basic anatomy
  • Ability to lead clients of varying ages, fitness levels, and mobility needs
  • Strong communication, coaching, and customer service skills
  • Comfortable instructing, cueing, and demonstrating in front of a group
  • Ability to create a calm, confident, positive, and engaging class environment
  • Ability to build energy, excitement, and participation around a new class offering
  • Professional, dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
  • Passion for helping people move better and feel better

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is confident, warm, reliable, and passionate about helping people improve the way they move. They can lead a structured class, connect with clients quickly, and create a safe, premium experience for people who may be new to stretching, mobility, or group wellness classes.

Because group classes are a new offering, this person must also know how to create energy around the program, drive attendance, and help turn initial curiosity into ongoing engagement. This is not a passive instructor role. It requires someone who is comfortable being visible, building rapport, and helping a new service gain traction.

This is a launch-stage role best suited for an experienced group fitness instructor who can lead a great class and help build buzz around a new offering.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
