Growth & Partnerships Manager — Edtech Startup

We're an edtech startup about to launch a platform connecting students with tutors, and we're hiring our first Growth & Partnerships Manager to lead the launch and grow our student and tutor base.

Location: Remote, but you must live in Lagos Mainland for occasional in-person meetings

What you'll do

Student and parent acquisition

• Find new ways to attract students and parents.
• Run and optimise campaigns on Instagram, TikTok, Meta, Google, and WhatsApp.
• Build referral and student ambassador programmes.
• Grow student communities and run school and university outreach.
• Test acquisition channels and track which ones work.

Tutor acquisition

• Recruit tutors and grow tutor referrals, partnerships, and our tutor community.

Partnerships and outreach

• Reach out to schools, universities, student organisations, and education communities.
• Find corporate and education partners.
• Build relationships with influencers and education creators, and negotiate collaborations.

Marketing

• Plan and execute campaigns, and coordinate content and paid advertising.
• Run WhatsApp and email campaigns.

Growth strategy

• Answer questions like "How do we grow from 100 students to 1,000?" and turn the answer into a plan across marketing, partnerships, ambassadors, referrals, product improvements, and sales.

What we're looking for

• Experience in growth, marketing, sales, or partnerships.
• Confidence with outreach: messages, calls, and in-person pitches.
• Comfort with basic data and spreadsheets.
• A strong feel for how students use WhatsApp, Instagram, and TikTok.
