Growth Engineer, Developer Platform

For our client, we are seeking a Growth Engineer, Developer Platform to join the team of a leader in the Telecommunications & Hardware space.

This role will focus on expanding the adoption of open source practices across engineering teams while strengthening the processes, tools, and governance that support collaboration with external developers. You will shape how project teams engage contributors, improve community health, and build scalable workflows that help open source initiatives succeed after launch. This is a highly cross-functional position that blends software engineering, automation, and community program management in a technical environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $200,000 – $322,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Drive adoption of open source best practices across teams
• Design tailored governance models for project teams
• Facilitate active contributions from external developers
• Provision and manage community engagement infrastructure
• Develop and execute post-launch plans for open source projects
• Create contributor pathways and automated review processes
• Monitor community health and engagement metrics
• Document engagement processes into reusable playbooks

Qualifications

• 12+ years of relevant experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Proven track record in driving open source practices across engineering teams
• Experience in crafting effective open source governance models
• Strong software engineering skills with automation expertise
• Hands-on experience with agentic coding tools in engineering workflows
• Experience managing open source community programs with accountability
