What they need

Who you are

  • You've moved real numbers on a subscription product: you've owned a conversion funnel or monetisation surface - activation, paywall, pricing, checkout, churn - and can name your wins
  • Experience at a consumer subscription app, especially mobile-first
  • You're an experimentation enthusiast: you form sharp hypotheses, and have personally shipped a high volume of A/B tests. You can inspire a team with your results and bring stakeholders along for the journey too
  • Hands-on with a CRM/CDP (Customer.io, Klaviyo, Braze) and lifecycle messaging
  • You've worked across both web and mobile funnels: you know they behave differently - web checkout versus in-app purchase, email versus push
  • Experience running paid campaigns, or working closely with the people who do
  • You understand subscription growth: paywalls, trials, pricing, free-to-paid conversion, lifecycle, churn and win-back - and are genuinely interested in it. (You’re the kind of person who's listened to every episode of Sub Club.)
  • Worked with sensitive or regulated health data, or in health and wellness
  • You're comfortable in the data: you can pull and interpret your own numbers with SQL and a product analytics tool, rather than waiting for someone to hand you a chart
  • You thrive in a small team with high autonomy: you can ship without being managed, use AI to move quickly, and are comfortable in a scrappy environment with very little scaffolding around you
  • You care about the mission: you want your growth work to help people who have been overlooked and underserved, not just move a number. You won’t sacrifice integrity and values to hit targets (and we will never ask you to)

What the job involves

  • Running experiments on our website and quiz funnel from copy to design, UX and positioning. You’ll own our paywalls and checkout process, too. Across the whole funnel you’ll identify hypotheses and ship tests regularly and quickly - knowing which ones actually created members rather than just clicks
  • Improving free-to-paid conversion in the mobile app, working with the core Product team - app onboarding, the moments that communicate the value of membership, and big levers like referrals
  • Keeping the members we already help. Reducing subscription churn, winning back lost members and recovering the revenue we lose to failed payments and lapsed subscriptions, using all of the tools at your disposal. (Our Core Product team owns the in-app features that drive long-term value.)
  • Standing up our lifecycle programme from a blank slate - setting up the event triggers and segmentation, configuring in-app messaging, and setting early flows live. If you can prove out the impact, there’s budget to hire dedicated CRM support
  • Getting into the data yourself (BigQuery, Mixpanel) to find where the biggest opportunities are, size them, and prove out what worked

The application process

  • Introductory call with Luke, our co-founder and CEO, and the hiring manager for this role
  • A take-home task to get a feel for what the role will be like (for example, a teardown of our web funnel and what you'd test first), followed by an interview to talk through it together
  • Final round with Harry, our co-founder

Benefits

  • Generous equity package
  • Enhanced pension (6% matched), enhanced parental leave, private healthcare and compassionate sick leave policy
  • 25 days holiday per year, plus bank holidays
  • In-person off-sites – we’ve been to Budapest, Lisbon, Barcelona and Warsaw so far!
  • Generous budget to access the latest LLM/AI tools (e.g. Claude Code, Codex) so you can do your best work
  • £1,000 annual learning budget for personal development
  • Health insurance with Vitality
