GTM Migration Analyst

We're looking for a GTM Migration Analyst to execute the tag-management side of our Adobe Analytics → GTM/Fullstory migration across all of our marketplace verticals. All sites will run on the same backend platform, so the approach is to fully build and validate GTM on the first 1–2 sites, then replicate and adapt that implementation across the rest. This is a fixed-scope, time-boxed engagement with a defined end state — not an ongoing operations role.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and configure GTM implementation on the initial 1–2 pilot sites under direction from the team lead
• Replicate the validated GTM setup across the remaining verticals, adapting for site-specific differences (third-party pixels, listing/lead-gen form variants, etc. — expect real variation even on a shared backend)
• Configure and validate event tracking and EDDL/data layer structures per site
• Perform analytics QA and debugging using browser developer tools; validate tracking through the Adobe Launch → GTM cutover
• Deploy and QA third-party pixels per site
• Flag anomalies or tracking discrepancies that don't match the expected pattern — escalate rather than resolving novel issues solo
• Maintain clear implementation documentation and a per-site QA log for handoff at contract close

Required Skills

• 2–3 years hands-on experience with Google Tag Manager (GTM)
• Solid understanding of Event-Driven Data Layers (EDDL)
• Working familiarity with Adobe Analytics/Adobe Launch (enough to compare tracking behavior, not deep Adobe expertise)
• Solid JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and DOM fundamentals
• Strong Chrome DevTools / network-request debugging skills
• Good judgment about when to execute independently vs. when to flag something to the team — this role needs to recognize "this looks wrong" without necessarily knowing why
• Clear, consistent documentation habits

Good to Have

• Experience with Fullstory implementation
• Experience with SPA frameworks (Nuxt/React/Angular)
• Prior exposure to a multi-site/multi-brand analytics rollout
