Guest Experience Host - Full Time

We’re looking for a full-time Guest Experience Host to join our award-winning team at Sojourn Apartment Hotel Riddiford, recognised as Tripadvisor’s #1 Hotel in New Zealand (2024 & 2025).

This is a hands-on, guest-facing role where you’ll be the first welcome, the helping hand during the stay, and the lasting impression when guests leave. If you’re naturally warm, organised, and take pride in delivering exceptional service, we’d love to meet you.

About you

You’re someone who genuinely enjoys people and hospitality. You bring positive energy to your team and take ownership of your work.

You will ideally have:

• Front office or hospitality experience (serviced apartments or hotel preferred)
• A passion for guest service and creating memorable stays
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Confidence working independently and as part of a team
• Excellent attention to detail and organisation
• Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure
• Experience with PMS systems (RMS preferred) and good IT skills
• Flexibility to work rostered shifts including weekends, evenings, and public holidays

• Takes pride in presentation and standards
• Looks for ways to help guests and teammates
• Spots opportunities to enhance guest experience and hotel revenue

Key responsibilities

• Welcoming and engaging with guests throughout their stay
• Check-in and check-out processes
• Handling reservations, amendments, and enquiries
• Resolving guest requests and concerns with care and efficiency
• Promoting hotel facilities and local experiences
• Supporting daily front office and hotel operations
• Communicating effectively with housekeeping and management teams
• Acting as a brand ambassador for Sojourn
