La Gitana Premium Cigars is one of Akron’s newest and most exciting cigar lounges, dedicated to providing an exceptional guest experience through expertly curated cigars, quality drinks, and impeccable service.

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a committed, proactive Lounge Server who enjoys working in an exciting, fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering outstanding hospitality. Must be willing to work in a cigar smoke environment.

About the Role

As a Lounge Server, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming and memorable experience for every guest. You will provide attentive table service, assist customers with their cigar and beverage selections, and help maintain the upscale atmosphere of the lounge.

The ideal candidate is personable, professional, dependable, and comfortable interacting with a diverse clientele. A genuine interest in cigars, spirits, and hospitality is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, attentive, and professional service to all guests
• Take food and beverage orders and deliver them accurately and efficiently
• Assist guests with cigar selections and provide basic knowledge about cigar brands, sizes, and profiles
• Prepare and serve drinks at the bar when guests choose to pair their cigar with a cocktail, beer, wine, or other beverage
• Mix and prepare cocktails according to La Gitana’s drink menu and service standards
• Ensure drinks are prepared and served accurately, professionally, and responsibly
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming lounge and bar environment
• Build positive relationships with guests and encourage a memorable experience
• Communicate effectively with customers and fellow team members
• Follow all company policies and applicable alcohol and tobacco regulations
• Assist with opening, closing, restocking, and general lounge duties as needed
• Promote a positive and professional atmosphere while representing the La Gitana brand

• Previous serving, bartending, or hospitality experience preferred
• Knowledge or interest in cigars is a plus

Job Description

Responsibilities

Ø Greet and welcome guests in a friendly manner, ensuring they feel comfortable and valued

Ø Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, providing cigar recommendations when necessary

Ø Serve beverages, cut and light cigars for guests, ensuring timely delivery and presentation

Ø Maintain cleanliness of the lounge area, including tables, chairs, and service stations

Ø Collaborate with management to ensure smooth service flow and address any guest concerns promptly

Ø Process payments accurately and efficiently while maintaining customer confidentiality

Ø Uphold lounge policies, hygiene, and customer service standards

Requirements

Ø Previous experience in a server setting is required

Ø Previous experience in a bar/lounge setting is preferred

Ø Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members

Ø Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Ø Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Ø A positive attitude, teamwork spirit, and willingness to help others are essential for success in this role.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $11.00 - $14.00 per hour
