Guest Service Representative

Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide exceptional customer service throughout their visit
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently for retail sales transactions, including cash register operations and cash handling
• Assist customers with product demos, answering questions about store merchandise, and upselling items to enhance their shopping experience
• Manage stock levels by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring merchandise is well-presented and accessible
• Maintain professional phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting customers remotely
• Conduct retail math calculations accurately for sales totals, discounts, and change given during transactions
• Support merchandising efforts by arranging products attractively and ensuring store cleanliness and organization

Experience

• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a proactive attitude are key!
• Supervising experience is a plus, especially in overseeing team members or leading small groups during shifts
• Bilingual skills are highly valued to effectively communicate with diverse customer bases
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math enhances your ability to succeed in this role
• Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening, are essential for engaging with guests effectively
• Knowledge of retail store products and merchandising techniques will help you provide informed recommendations to customers
• Prior experience in cashiering, cash drawer handling, or upselling strategies will support your success in driving sales
