Guest Service Representative

Position Summary

Holiday Inn & Suites East Peoria is seeking a friendly, dependable, and service-driven Part-Time Front Desk Agent to join our team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you’ll play a key role in creating a welcoming and memorable experience from check-in to check-out.

We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong communication skills, and ideally has experience using OPERA Property Management System (PMS).

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout their stay
• Check guests in and out efficiently using the OPERA PMS system
• Handle reservations, room assignments, and special requests
• Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries regarding the hotel and local area
• Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally
• Process payments, post charges, and maintain accurate guest accounts
• Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure room readiness
• Promote hotel amenities, including on-site dining at Johnny’s Italian Steakhouse
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk area

Qualifications

• Previous hotel front desk or customer service experience preferred
• Experience with OPERA PMS strongly preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced setting
• Basic computer skills and attention to detail
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset

Schedule

• Part-time hours (shifts may vary based on business needs)
