Guest Service Representative (Front Desk)

Ready to join a great team? Our beaches hotels are currently hiring for the position of Guest Service Representative (Front desk).

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Scope

The Guest Service Representative is responsible for the smooth operation of the front office department including the front desk. This includes (but is not limited to):

• Working with other staff members.
• Check Guest in/out
• Make Telephone Reservations
• Accept room Payments
• Guest Service
• Run reports for Credit/cash balance

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Guest Service

• Anticipating customer needs and prior experience in hotel guest service is preferred.
• Responds promptly and follows through on guest concerns in an effective and friendly manner.
• Manages guest service throughout the hotel
• Successfully assists all Guest Service operations including Reservations and Front

Qualifications

• Friendly with a great smile
• Positive attitude
• Basic Computer skills
• Basic problem solving and math skills
• Able to stand on feet for 5 – 6 hours
• Able to lift items up to 50 pounds
• Flexible schedule to accommodate hospitality schedules including some weekends, holidays and evenings

Education and / or Prior Experience

• A minimum of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. Some experience with hotel computer systems will be useful.
