Guest Services Agent - Reception

About the role

We are seeking a friendly and professional Guest Services Agent to join our team at the Railway Motel and Function Centre in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. As a full-time Guest Services Agent, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless experience for our guests throughout their stay.

What you'll be doing

• Greeting and assisting guests at the reception desk, responding to their queries and ensuring their needs are met
• Checking guests in and out efficiently and effectively, handling all associated administrative tasks
• Answering incoming calls, responding to email and other inquiries in a timely and courteous manner
• Maintaining a high level of product knowledge to provide recommendations and information to guests
• Handling cash and credit card transactions, processing payments and issuing receipts
• Responding to and resolving guest complaints and concerns in a professional manner
• Assisting with the coordination of guest requests, such as room service, housekeeping and concierge services
• Performing other administrative duties as required to support the smooth operation of the hotel

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a customer service or front office role, ideally within the hospitality industry
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and professional demeanour
• Strong organisational and multi-tasking abilities, with the capacity to work well under pressure
• Proficient in using computer systems and hotel management software
• A genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
• The ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays. Morning shifts begin from 6.00am until 2.15pm and afternoon shifts commence at 2.00pm until 9.00pm on a rotating basis.
